<p><a href="https://kymedcan.ky.gov/About/Pages/default.aspx">Kentucky’s medical marijuana program</a> has officially launched, with Governor Andy Beshear awarding the state’s first <a href="https://kentuckystatecannabis.org/medical">medical cannabis cards</a>. Over 2,200 patients have been approved, and applications continue to roll in. Beshear is also advocating for a federal change to gun laws that currently prevent medical marijuana patients from owning firearms. This historic moment signals a major shift in Kentucky’s approach to cannabis access and patient rights.</p>
